Ensuring the proper distribution of an estate (the assets left behind by the
deceased person) often involves disagreements concerning entitlement to property
and raises issues about the true intentions of the deceased or his or her mental
capacity at the time a will, trust or an amendment was made. Our firm can help
ensure your rights as an hair, trustee, beneficiary or personal representative
are well represented in the estate distribution probate proceedings.
The firm also represents conservators and guardians either chosen by an
incapacitated ward’s loved ones or appointed by the court. If you believe a
conservator should be appointed over a loved one who no longer has the mental
capacity to manage his or her affairs, we can help you through the process.
The firm generally does not provide estate planning services, but we are glad to
refer you to experienced estate planning attorneys who specialize in drafting
estate plans.
